My Top TV Shows #13: The A-Team (32)

Hello everyone!

Since my posts on the countdown seem to come in 3s. Here is the third update for today. Another show that is actually not in the Sci-Fi genre, but I can assure you that this will change as we get closer to the top of the list. So, here it is, for your reading pleasure, my top TV show # 13.

My Top TV Shows #13: The A-Team

It’s been ages since I have actually seen the A-Team on TV. I remember in grade school coming home and catching the tail end of an episode that Spike TV had on at 2:00. This was actually the very first show that I acquired a DVD of. Since then, I have purchased two more seasons and own seasons 1-3 of the A-Team and are currently looking for to obtain the next season on DVD.

I think what I love about this show is that it is a perfect combination of actions an comedy. I’m sure everyone knows the general storyline, especially with the movie that recently came out. It is the story of 4 former soldiers, whom are framed for a crime and are on the run from the government. While they do their best to avoid the feds, they help out the lowly in need doing odd jobs around the city of LA and beyond.

The story had a lot of action, even though nobody ever died on the show, and a great amount of comedy along with it. The entire cast is superbly selected. It is so well collected that I cannot actually pick a favorite character amongst the four team members. I could be cliché and say Mr. T, but he is just a small cog in a show that has a lot of strong points. George Peppard is great as the leader, Hannibal Smith. Throw in Dirk Benedict as the con-man,  Templeton “Faceman” Peck, and the hilarious Dwight Schultz as the Looney pilot “Howling Mad” Murdock, and the cast is a hit!

If you haven’t seen it, I would recommend it to everyone. It may be old, but The A-Team is a classic!
